He is a college registered physician in BC (CPSBC) and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in emergency medicine. He trained at the University of Toronto and McMaster University. He also holds a masters degree in education. Dr. Van Dewark is a member of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine (CAAM). He actively teaches and is a published researcher in his role as a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia.
